It's your life, live it.

I was always told that the bible is black and white and easy to know what is right and what is wrong. Then I was told that are gray areas and that you can't always know for sure and that where grace and faith come in. So now I feel strongly that people just choose what they what they believe and make that the truth that they live by. I recently had a conversation where someone was insisting that every birth is a direct result of God's will for that child to be created. I posed the question about the children that are born to drug addicted parents and they are born addicted to drugs and are abused. The response I was given was that those births weren't God's will, but that some are. I take serious issue with someone saying that. So when it sounds good and works out okay it is from God, but if it doesn't than it isn't? Can we really live our lives picking and choosing what we want to believe is true and the rest is just the crappy world we live in. Why is it so wrong to believe that the world was set in motion by God and the things that happen are because that is the way it is. The world works and things happen. Why is it so hard to just accept that babies are born, people die, jobs are lost, hearts are broken, life is good and life is bad and that is just what happens when you live. I just think strongly that you need accept that life is life and if you want something to be different than make it different. Being a Christian and praying does not remove your responsibility to take action in your life. I think people use God and what he wants in your life to be dormant and not take any action because your waiting for divine intervention.
